Project Homecoming is a program designed for people of any age or income level, for individuals with a short-term need for meals due to illness, accident, surgery, etc. You may be eligible to receive five FREE meals delivered to your home if you've recently been released from any hospital or care facility for any reason to your home in Longmont. The Longmont United Hospital Foundation graciously sponsors this program so the meals can be provided FREE of charge Should you choose to extend the service beyond the first five days, and you meet the criteria for the program, the price of each meal is based on a sliding fee scale of a client's monthly income.
Longmont Meals on Wheels offers the ideal solution for individuals or couples unable to provide at least one hot meal per day but who need home-delivered meals only temporarily. We can accommodate the needs of those who have special dietary requirements, need more than one meal per day, or require weekend meals in addition to the week-day deliveries .If you would also like to add a frozen meal to be delivered at the same time as your hot meal for use later, it will arrive in a microwaveable container for your convenience.
Our volunteer drivers will deliver your meal(s) between 10:45 and 12:30 each weekday.
You can get started with a minimum 24 hours notice just by calling our office.
All individuals over the age of 55 are invited to dine at the Park View Cafe located in the Senior Center, Monday - Friday from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm. Cost per meal is based on a sliding scale. Individuals under the age of 55 may purchase a meal for $6.00.
